Buy From Friends

Why is it that we flock to the hottest trend and big name for new clothing, books, and makeup? Why are we giving major corporations our money? They don’t need more support.

Who does need support?

• Your best friend who sells makeup, vitamins, or creative items.

• The family in your church who raises chickens to sell eggs.

• Your plumber neighbor who is trying to eke out a living.

People like this are able to send their kids to ballet and Little League because of you. They will be more likely to buy your product or service if you buy theirs. You may have to wait a little longer for a product to be delivered or for a service to be completed. But isn’t it worth the wait, knowing that helping our friends and neighbors is more satisfying than supporting big corporations?

Now, there is a time and place for big box stores. Technology is hard to find locally, but when you need support with it, hire local. Hire local, whenever you can.

When you can, as often as you can, help your friends and their friends. And be their cheerleader and marketing megaphone. Send your friends and family to them.
